Disabling TLS on the network
Zello has implemented TLS (Transport Layer Security) to strengthen encryption between all server-client connections.
TLS is turned on by default. Since this setting is vital for the security of your network, we don't recommend disabling TLS unless directed by Zello Support, or you are troubleshooting specific devices on a local network. For example, if you are troubleshooting PC apps on an On-premise Server network.
NOTE: Beginning with iOS 13 and Android 10, On-premise Server customer will be required to pay the annual maintenance fee (20% of license plus user fees) in order to keep TLS enabled for their network.
- From the Management Console, select Settings
- From the right side-bar, select Common
- Disable the TLS setting by toggling it on as shown below
- Click Save and Apply to implement the change.
