I’m signing in using the correct username and password, but I’m still getting an “Invalid password” message. Why? 

Confirm that you’re logging into Zello Work rather than the consumer side of Zello. 

If you aren’t required to enter a network name alongside your username and password, you’re attempting to log into the consumer side. 

Ensure you’re on the Log in screen’s Zello Work tab–not the Zello tab.

Can I change my status on Zello Work?

Yes! Statuses can be publicly set to Available, Solo, Busy, or Offline. Additionally, you’re able to create a personalized status message to accompany your status icon. Read more about managing your status on Zello Work here.  

Can I use the same user account on multiple devices?

Yes. You can log into your Zello Work account from any compatible device, but your account can only be active on one device at a time. 

For example, you can log into Zello Work on both your computer and mobile device; you cannot, however, be logged into those two devices simultaneously. Logging in on one device will prompt a logout on the previously in-use device. 

While this means multiple users can share one login account, they cannot be active at the same time. Check out this support article for more information on instituting Zello’s shared devices functionality. 

What Bluetooth and wired accessories work with Zello?

Zello does not manufacture or sell bluetooth or wired accessories. We do, however, partner with select accessory manufacturers to ensure compatibility for a variety of devices, including rugged phones, network radios, headsets, speakers, mics, and remote buttons. 

Devices fall into one of the following categories: 

  • Certified – The integration of certified accessories has been tested and confirmed by the Zello team. We are happy to provide technical support for them. Check out this page for a list of certified accessories. 

  • Uncertified – These accessories have not been certified by our team. While they may work with Zello, we can’t guarantee their functionality nor can we provide technical support.
    Uncertified accessories–whether bluetooth or wired–may work under the following conditions:

    • Bluetooth Accessories

      • Accessories with either a hands-free or headset profile that can be used for playback and recording functions. 

      • Some accessories with an audio/visual remote control profile can be mapped to a forward/backward button, and can likely be used for Zello. 

    • Wired Accessories

      • The headset includes a microphone that can be used to record and playback messages. 

      • You’re able to make a phone call on the headset. This includes all Apple headsets, as well as Android-compatible headsets.

What is the PTT’s toggle function? 

The toggle function determines how a message is recorded. When toggle is enabled, the PTT button is pressed twice to record a message: once at the beginning to start the recording, and once at the end to stop the recording. The user does not need to hold the PTT button while speaking. 

This differs from the PTT’s default setting–hold to talk–which requires users to press and hold the PTT button while speaking to record your message.

What is the “Use TCP only” setting?

The “Use TCP only” setting improves the connection reliability of your device and makes app sign-in quicker. However, please note this setting may lead to delays and quicken your device’s battery drain.
