How can I disable Google Assistant?

On Android 9 and above, Google Assistant may interfere with Zello's ability to process external PTT buttons while the app is in the background. To disable Google Assistant, follow these steps.

1. From system settings search for "Devices."

2. Select Google Assistant > Devices from the search results:

3. Select Wired headphones.

4. Toggle off Get help from Google.

Note: You may need to open Zello app at least once before it regains ability to process wired headset keys while in the background.
